I am certified in Asian Bodywork and the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine by the Elements of Healing Massage School, located in Essex Junction, VT. The 600 hour program run by Scott Moylan consists of massage practice, theory in Chinese Medicine (diagnostics, acupuncture points, etc.), Western anatomy/physiology, and adjunctive treatments such as cupping and moxibustion. I am also training in Visceral Manipulation with the Barral Institute and work with veterans at the Points East Clinic in Windsor, VT.
Testimonials
After years of working on my feet, I developed chronic pain that no doctor or specialist could help me with. The pain isn’t always there but when it activates, it’s debilitating. Years of testing and consultations had everyone stumped. I’ve been treating myself to a monthly massage with Leo for 3 months now, and I’m not exactly sure what he’s doing right, but when the pain activates, it’s much milder. I recommend booking with Leo if you’re living with a repetitive stress injury like I am or if you just want a good massage because, in case I didn’t mention it, he’s very good at massage.

Leo is a terrific, sensitive massage therapist. He uses many styles. I especially appreciate his knowledge of the acupuncture meridians and cupping, as well as the more common massage styles. I only wish I could afford to see him on a regular basis! (his rates are very reasonable for this area, just not for my very limited budget). Just FYI, I am an elder female, and very comfortable with him.

I believe in listening to the body and not forcing change. My primary approaches include Visceral Manipulation (a gentle, yet precise style of osteopathic treatment targeting the organs) and Tui Na (a form of Chinese massage).
The first treatment will be general and consist of a 60 minute bodywork treatment. After that, shorter, targeted appointments can be booked. I may use tools such as cupping or moxibustion. If the patient agrees to or requests their use, then I provide these at no extra cost, and the length of the appointment will remain the same. As a student of Western herbalism, I may give recommendations of gentle and safe herbs, and/or use them topically during the treatment.
I am also offering meditation/energy work sessions for people desiring to work on their own meditative practices and trying to address specific internal disharmonies. I have extensive personal experience with and deep appreciation for this type of work, which I hope can be useful for others.
I enjoy studying the history, experiences, and research around healing practices. I find that writing about my studies helps me understand subjects in greater depth as I grow in my practice of the art. I am publishing to this website to hopefully serve as a resource for others.
